Hi All. I'm in Woodbridge, new to gardening, and would like to do a fall crop for the first time this year. I am going to get some books but in the meantime I have two main questions:

1. When do you start them, and do you have to start them indoors like in the spring or can you just put the seeds right outside?

2. I'm thinking of doing lettuces, kale, chard, arugula. What else is good to grow in this area for the fall?
