HELP - bare root roses are here!

Company sent me my bare root roses stating that I am in zone 6b - first off - I do not think that is the case - but doesn't help to worry about that now.

WHAT SHOULD I DO? One person states to put them in a bucket of water overnight and then plant them in the ground. The company states to leave them bare root in the garage as long as it is 40-50 until I am ready to plant? Won't they die? Should I put them in water and then plan them in pots? And then what - bring the pots inside? Won't I have to wait until it gets really warm if I do that?

What should I do - over $100 worth of roses are at stake

PLease help?!
