Well, I see that you havn't got an answer to your question, so I'll try to help out. First of all start with a northern highbush variety. You may want to plant a early midseason and a late variety to give you blueberries thru out the season. Check out the Hartmann website for a discription fo the various varieties. The most important thing that you can do is prepare your planting area by lowering the to around 4.5 to 5. This is the common mistake that is made when planting blueberries. Check out the fruit and orchard forum to find different methods to lower your ph. This is a must for blueberry production. I sold about 750 potted blueberry plants last year and blue Ray and Blue crop were the favorites. Both are very similar berries. Since this post is nearly a month old you may have already purchased your blueberries, but just fyi Surprisingly HD had very nice potted blueberry plants for 10.00. I think a good deal. luke
