What you need is one working nearby who will dump them at your place.

Keep an eye on CraigsList, that's how I got rid of tree removal debris, right down to the sawdust. People came out of the "woodwork" to haul it off.

whenever I see an arborist working in our area, I go and talk to them and ask them to drop chips at our place. They're happy to do so and I have a huge pile in our field.

Check out Asplundh Tree, they have the big orange trucks and usually have a sign with a telephone number and they will deliver truckloads of chips for nothing. I think you have to take a whole load however and they are large trucks.

I saw by your zip code that your area is in Milton.Up north in Shoreline,Hamlin Park,just off of I-5 has free bark chips that they pile up in a concrete three sided bin,lots of it.I got about three pickup loads there last fall and easy access,in the first parking lot area.Bring a shovel.
