Fungus, disease or overwatering?

I have several roses in one gallon pots and some of them have leaves that look like this. This one is a Midnight Blue.

It's been very warm and I have been watering a bit more, maybe too much? Prior to this week there was none of this. Hoping it's over watering and not some other issue.

Another possibility is sun scald. All of these plants were in a greenhouse up until last weekend. They are now out in full sun.

I am in the Pacific Northwest.

Agree with Susan. They needed longer in shade outside after the greenhouse before full sun.

Looks more like sunburn to me. I'd move them to partial shade and keep watering like crazy. It's hard to overwater a one gallon rose with good roots!

Good to know. Hard to move this many roses, around 50, to a shadier location as I don't really have one. I run a small nursery and have limited options. I'll keep them well watered and hope for the best. Thanks.

Try some patio umbrellas. Invest in several for your business. No one is going to buy plants with burnt leaves.

Or one of those 10' by 10' moveable tents that you can get from Costco and others for about $100.

Doing umbrellas or the Costco tents is outside my budget for this hobby nursery. I was able, for the most part, to prune out the bad leaves and there is plenty of new growth coming along. I am not reliant on income from the plant sales. I only hope it defrays the cost of my plant obsession. We also have rabbits and everything needs to be on tables, so it would be a major chore to move everything to shade and back to sun every day. Too much for this old man. :o)
