Look into your local Master Gardeners association. It's a great way to be active in your community as well.

Have you put in your application at any of the nurseries or garden centers nearby? Most start hiring about now for seasonal staff and they generally do not post the positions. Experience is usually a plus but not always a requirement, especially with seasonal workers.
