Holy Mackerel, deluge is the right word!!! It has been coming down non-stop here (S. Vancouver Is.) for about 12 hours. Just when you think it can't rain harder, it does!
Now the wind has kicked in. Garden full of puddles and pools, Restless dog has cabin fever, so do I. Where is that Spring??

It missed us - went both south and north of us in Seattle. We got the warm 60 degree weather though. My daughter in Grays Harbor County lost power today and she says the Chehalis River is just below flood stage.

So far it's completely missed us here in Oregon City -- dry as a bone. Warm out. Maybe it will rain tonight?

4 inches of rain in my gauge! But now the sky is a wonderful blue -- I'd almost forgotten that lovely colour. What a grey, gloomy winter we have had. Let's hope that it is now over and we can get on with some nice weather. I love the springtime and we enjoy such a long one here on the coast.

It finally started to rain in the middle of the night here. It was heavy at times in the wee morning hours. It is marvelous to hear hard steady rain on the roof; it means trees and plants will be happy. Drought is awful. Every day I don't have to water I rejoice! Now it's raining lightly. This storm was nowhere near as strong here as advertised!

Dotty, blue sky you say. Good lord I think you're right. we've seen it so seldom this winter I'd forgotten what it looks like. I'm going to enjoy every minute of it and so is my long suffering garden.

Wind blew in the end of a greenhouse and knocked out power at friend's Camano Island, WA site but there wasn't much rain.
