'Fortunei Hyacinthia' flowers:

yeah, it's a common ol' gal, but seems to hold the world's record 4 offspring, between hybrids n sports, beating even S&S.

Fried Bananas - lots of bloom this year.

Hosta 'Rising Sun' flower

DD' nice FB flowerpic, tanks for it, can I add it to my library, lemme know credit info if so , pls.

mark

our specimen of that is not foto-worthy . . .

'Little White Lines'

I love all of these bloom shots. Hosta's leaves are so spectacular that most people forget that a lot of the flowers are worth looking at as well.

DD-love that 'Fried Bananas' pic. That's one I have coming from Hallson's this fall. So glad I ordered it!

Yup, 'Fortunei Hyacinthina' is old, HH, but I still think it's a nice-looking plant. Like you said; Thanks to that one, we have a lot of great hosta to enjoy. Those 'Fried Bananas' flowers are beautiful, Donna. I can almost smell 'em from here!

HH, YOU are 'My Man Mark' : ) You're the man!

Don B.

P.S.: Has H. 'My Man Mark' ever gotten flowers? I read the notes in the hosta library, that it hadn't bloomed. Just curious. That's a nice big greenie!

Mark - Sure you can add it to your library. Credit it to Donna Dorsey. Is that all the info you need. Is your library online? I'm relatively new here.

DD

Donna - my library is just 4 me, or those I show, not 'published' Thank you.
DoCO - MMM had a scape last year but I completely missed the flower, drats. No sign of scape as yet thus year. Watched pots don't boil. Mark Hanner wants a piece but when I tried to get a division all I got was 4 stalks with leaves, so I had to send his neighbor home empty-handed. New spring pips next year should give better results - way too big to dig up . . .

Nice smellin' bloom from 'Fried Bananas'.

Don B.

Missed this thread last week....
Here is Clausa with more scapes...Closed Blooms look good against the green

I love the June flowers on short scapes

Last of my 'Fried Bananas' photos before I bore you to death!

Hard to get them all in one shot! All done......

'Guacamole' flower...

Don B.

When people speak about 'hybridizing', I get the feeling this is not what they mean...

Don B.

heh heh! Very funny, Don! A new hosta called 'tossed salad', or 'leaves it to me' maybe?
