I'm growing fairy bells in a planter that surrounds a small koi pool. They are thriving and multiplying so should do well for you. I know of sources up here, but I'm sure you would want to buy them locally.

Do you mean Prosartes hookeri (used to be called Disporum hookeri)? Try Wally Hansen Natives in Oregon (Nursery & Mail Order). Where in WA are you? The big Puget Sound Native Plant society sale was Mother's day weekend, but if you're in Western WA, some of the bigger independants are carrying more natives now. Call Molbaks, Sky, Wells Medina, Emery's or Flower World.

Natives are in vogue, many independent garden centers have a natives section or at least an assortment of natives among the other selections. However, I haven't noticed and remembered any of those particular plants anywhere this spring. They do grow in gardens fairly well.

Twelve places where listed for Disporum hookeri in THE PLANT LOCATOR - WESTERN REGION (Black-Eyed Susans/Timber) during 2004. You might want to look in that.
