Paul, Thank you for this topic and sharing your changing hosta.

Great photos of your changing hostas. They show perfectly why it's so hard sometimes to ID a hosta, since they look different in the changing seasons. Or in response to how much sun/shade, moisture or zone. Thanks for doing this, and something I'll be copying starting next spring.

My biggest changer is Whirlwind which reverses the more common change and starts out yellow splashed in the center and turns green and green. I am working hard at being able to post pics. A couple of months ago I didn't even have a camera.

My favorite, Zodiac. Begins the season chartreuse-centered, with creamy yellow-margins. Hosta Library says it changes to gold-centered, white-margined by mid-summer. Mine seems to have a mind of its own and changed to pale green and blue centers with white margins.

Nobody wants to see my transitions...the ones that go from green to crispy brown...

I've never taken transitional photos of my hostas. I may have to start. Really appreciate those of you who keep a photo journal of your hostas.

Just moved this Aristocrat to a more visible spot. Yellow/green edge in June is very stark in August.
