I have just dug quite a few bulbs of this pretty little flower out of an East facing, very shady planter. They did quite well there but get much too tall, only look pretty for about a month (April), and I think I'd rather have them naturalize under the Ash tree in the back garden.

My question is: now that I've dug them up do I just chop off the leaves and replant the bulb under the tree? Or something else? Like leave the leaves on...or store them for a awhile... or something... I'm at a loss, so they are sitting on the front porch in a tub looking forlorn.
