Hi!

I am planning a berry patch near the south east side of my fence which gets 6-7 hours of good sunlight. I have garden soil from Pacific Soils. Will be building a wooden frame and make a raised bed. What other things should I be mixing in this soil to start a flourishing berry patch...berries I have in pots are strawberries and blue berries that I would be transplanting down. DO I really need any special additions into this rich blackish garden soil?

Also should I be worried about slugs when I put the plants down though in raised beds? I have many slugs around here...
