LOL I was on my way to the car the other morning and I stepped on a slug on purpose and found it hard to keep my foot on the gas and or the brake pedal. I had on my rubber muck shoes and the slime stuck in the grooves!!!!!

I have managed to squish a couple in my fingers while pulling out weeds (always a lovely feelng;-) as well as stepping on a few over the years. I am surprised they don't use slug gook for some industrial purpose, it seems almost impossible to scrape off a rough surface.

You think that's bad. How about the little tiny baby slugs that stick to the home grown lettuce no matter how well you wash it??? and then turn up in your mouth with the salad!!!

I keep my rubber clogs in the house because I wear them so often. I have three pair.

reg pnw ~ ehwwwww! That one is really nasty! When living in CA I would step on huge garden snails barefoot all the time. That was always special. Slugs where I live, massive & huge. Constant battle with them.

2 weeks ago while camping, I shoved my foot into my camping clogs, only to encounter a slug. I was wearing socks- had to throw them away because slug slime does not wash out of cotton socks! Luckily it did wash off the clogs!

At least you had socks on Silver Creek. My tootsie had its slug encounter "au naturale".

And reg pnw! Buy some sluggo! It's non-toxic. You really topped me in the disgusting category. I hope it was a really tiny baby slug.
