It's very beautiful, and one I hadn't seen before. Since my yard is so small, and so full of hostas, I've tried to avoid hosta shopping for the past couple of years, and just work on adding a little color here and there. It's tough.... especially now that I was lured back here to see everyone's lovely photos....

I understand exactly what you are saying jel48! My yard is also small, but I want more and more hostas! I know I can make changes to my garden to accommodate more hosta, but that takes a lot of work. I guess the bottom line is how happy you are with the hostas that you have, because there are always people that have more hostas, bigger homes, more cars etc. So for me I am trying to figure out where I can put more and which ones I like the least. I can get rid of the ones I am not that fond of for new ones that may give me more satisfaction. And seeing Seducer's seasonal progression really helps me to know what I would be getting if I chose to purchase one. And that is worth a lot!

I purchased Seducer earlier this year. Let's just say, she called to me. This one just keeps catching your eye, even if it is still much a baby. It really does seduce you.

I bought my Seducer in October (close to Niagara Falls, Ontario). There were only slim pickings in the garden centre but Seducer still had beautiful leaves. So she has replaced my dud Golden Meadows (hung onto it for 4 years and it looked worse every year)

Usually during the Hosta ABC’s there’s a category for progressions. I’m not sure there was one last year, but we can call on Paula to add it this year. I also love Seducer, but am dealing with maple roots and I may need to dig up half of the hostas and pull out the tree roots. Yikes! One of my favorites is GL Blue Banana. I took many shots of that one. Looks perfect all season!

Regarding a book with hosta progressions ==>> maybe someone here would have connections to do that? We all could partake by submitting our photos. Funds raised could be donated to American Hosta Society or other????
