med. height specimen plant for fall color

I am looking for a nicely shaped specimen shrub or small tree approximately 7 - 10 feet in height with beautiful fall foliage -preferably oranges and reds. Soil is neutral with sun/part shade. I have thought of fothergilla, but don't know if it can be trained into a nicely shaped specimen. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi. I have a Saskatoon berry bush, Amelancheir(sp?). It has white flowers in spring, blue berries that are edible in the summer, and depending on the species, it can have either red, burgundy, orange or yellow fall colour. The birds may beat you to the berries but I have tried them and they are delicious. Marg
