Most of my hydrangeas, the mopheads, lacecaps,etc. are all over 4 years old and weakly branched. Should I prune these shrubs back? How much? And when? Just the old wood? Or the whole plant? They are in very shady areas and I am not going to move them cause I want colour for summer in these areas-and they are flowering profusley. Any suggestions? Thanks
