Dug mine coming up on two weeks ago (weekend before last). Was nicely formed, and had been planted the first week of October. All of it was softneck (broadleaf czech). It is drying now, and should be ready for use in a week or so. Cheers.

Thanks I shall dig mine out soon.It still has some green tops ?Some literature says dry in full Sun for a week and then put in shade? Any opinions on that?

We've been told to dry in in warm dry conditions out of the sun. I suspect it works either way. After a few weeks of drying stored loosely in brown bags with tops on in our warm (sometimes hot) living room it is transfered to our cool dry basement and lasts until the next harvest. We are still using the last heads from our 2008 harvest. jwww

I also like to freeze garlic cloves,peeled and ready to use.It is very easy to work with when frozen
