My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Found in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia? in cloud forests at elevations of 1500 to 3400 meters as a cold to warm grower. I grow it cold and it seems to like it. Makes many spikes each with many small yellow flowers.
The three dimensional growth pattern is definitely a characteristic of the plant. Pleuro cyanea posted at the same time, has as many leaves and also is in a net pot but has not sent a single leaf out the side or down the bottom. This plant is a champion when it comes to lateral and bottom growth.
It's in an eight inch square basket and I'd love to move it up into a larger container but getting it out will be very difficult. By sniping and removing the basket 1" at a time the basket can be cut free. After that, how do you pot a plant that has as many leaves coming out the bottom and all sides as from the top? I'm leaving it alone and it will provide interesting information.
I think we all know what a Cattleya will do if left to ramble over the edge of a pot. The rhizome wanders all over the place and makes a plant ball. A Pleuro does not have a rhizome in the conventional sense and I have never seen one completely outgrow it's container. It will be interesting to see what this thing will look like 5 years from now.
