Despite the weather a whole bunch of nice shots that will probably help others get a feel for the place. The dullness might actually have made conditions better, there not being too much glare.

Really beautiful shots- we took our first real vacation in 6 years to Vancouver and Victoria last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. I really loved Buchart- it was gorgeous- especially the Sunken Garden. The rain reflections are really nice and you probably benefited that there weren't as many people.

The only thing I was really disappointed in was the gift shop- I thought it was pretty commercial and actually somewhat tacky for such a beautiful garden.

I deleted photos with too many people in them. There were quite a few there. About a dozen tour buses too.

They have umbrellas available in several locations, there was a boy with a wheelbarrow of them right in the parking lot. We didn't need them though, it only dripped under the trees while we were there.

Since I sell gifts wholesale for a living, I like their gift shop :)

I just wish I could have bought at Thomas Hobb's nursery and brought plants home.

Maybe if you look at The Plant Locator - Western Region you'll find the same plants are being offered on this side of the border.

Have you been to Victoria before? It is so gorgeous. Even if Butchart Gardens wasn't there Victoria is wonderful. Flowers everywhere, loads to do.

I love Butchart Gardens and have a few suggestions for those visiting Victoria. Butchart Gardens is expensive to enter, but if you take your time and bring food and water, it is lovely. Take the time to sit at every location that is free, to enjoy the feeling of so much wonderful beauty around you.

Victoria can be seen in two days. One for Butchart Gardens and one for all the other tacky stuff.
