What an amazingly perfect blooming. How many spikes are those on? My seedling has produced two little spike-like nubs but they have done absolutely nothing for about 2 months now so I wonder if they will abort or whether I'm just missing some sort of trigger. Sigh. This is a great photo as well. Good job!

Hello Calvin, you can't quite see in this picture but there are quite a lot of kikis developing behind the blooms. These three flowers are on three seperate growths. I have noticed with this species that the 'nubs' in the leaf axils,as you call them, do hang around for months sometimes before deciding to take off. So I guess your plant just needs more time. Hello BN, the image you see is 8 ins. long with a further 5 ins. of root below(they keep growing longer!) The flowers 4 ins. from tip to tip.
