Hi Rhe Anna, it looks like you need a backsplash too! For the paint color, you could go for a light tone pulled from your countertops if you want something subtle. You can also choose a completely different color as an accent that will brighten it up some (a light buttery yellow, turquoise or lime if you want to be bold!). My advice would be to either choose something directly from the counter (it looks textured/multicolored, so an accent color in there would be nice) or something that is different enough from your other surfaces that it won't clash. A backsplash can help brighten up your space, too. If you would like help with that you can send a photo of your countertop to one of our designers and they will help you find your perfect match! If you are thinking to brighten then stick with yellows... they are going to give the brightest bang for you buck... It looks like the wall extends into the living room, I would try to keep that colour and run it to the nearest inside corner (left of the front window) and then introduce a neutral to run into your next colour. or if you love love the yellow then keep it on the window wall too... will help keep that back wall brighter too... Hi---I say keep it bright and white-or off-white... PAINT the cabinets Blue!!! Your room is DARK-the wood needs to go and the walls have to be bright... Some pics for inspiration---both kitchens have tan/beige counters and floors... Good Luck!

If you want to keep the cabinets, then consider changing the floor tile to something larger 24", installed on the bias---and Silestone for counters.
