Molasses

Having some trouble finding "blackstrap" molasses. Just bought some Grandma's upsulphured molasses, but it doesn't appear to be blackstrap...I've checked Walmart and the local groceries...and other places that might carry the blackstrap unsulphured kind?

Blackstrap Molasses comes from the third boiling of the sugar cane and it will be darker and thicker than the molasses from the first and second boilings, so any really dark (and opaque) and thick molasses would most likely be Blackstrap.

What would you be using the molasses for?
Garden?
Or are you asking to eat it,?

Last weekend, we were at Albertson's in Crowley, TX. and saw 2 options....Brer Rabbit's unsulphured molasses for $3.99 a jar and Grandma's unsulphured molasses for $2.99 a jar. Beats paying $17.99 per 50# bag of dried molasses.....figures I had just spread the dried when I found the jars ):^(
