Mimi, I've left some in the ground here and, with a little protection, they've come back from the roots the past two winters..course, it's been pretty mild. We take cuttings in the fall..just in case.

if is datura can sow on the gound or pre start. Havent started brug from seed so not sure.

Thanks y'all. I think I'll plant them in the ground and try protecting them next winter. Just in case I'll take you advice Kaye and root cuttings before winter as well as save some seeds.

Beerhog, these are supposed to be Datura not brugs. I have them started in jiffy pellets.

If they are datura, you will get seeds to keep. if they are the common white jimson weed, they usually come back. mine have for the last 4 years.

These aren't the common jimson weed, Beerhog. I do battle with those things on the edges of our pasture every year. Hate em! That may be why I never tried the fragrant angel trumpets before now ... just knowing they are in the same family didn't appeal to me.
