Never mind, I read your other post. I like red but I think this one is even prettier.

helen, they are easy from seeds, the devil is in the transplanting. If I do it again and I may do a white one, Royal Wedding, I will use peat pots and see if that works any better. Even with loosing so many, they were still much cheaper than buying the plants. I had to wait a long, long time for the red one to bloom, but the other bloomed much quicker.

I've had trouble transplanting poppies too, even small ones. I have a plum colored one that volunteers a little bit, but always under the same tree. I've tried to move the seedlins to a sunnier spot but it never works. The flowers only last a short time. I thought they might bloom longer in sun.
