BLC. Raye Holmes 'Mendenhall'
My BLC. Raye Holmes 'Mendenhall' just finished blooming. It is a pretty reliable bloomer, blooming with our without sheaths. I grow this behind a half obstructed west window (Venetian blinds cover half the window). Grown in medium grade fir bark mix (charcoal, perlite, and bark). Got this many years ago from a local orchid nursery but the cross originates from Carter and Holmes. It has a wonderful classic Cattleya fragrance and blooms last about 3-4 weeks. The color is slightly darker purple than the picture shows, really hard to capture the true color. It isn't really this pink.
