Mine arent ether but now is the time for a good fertilizer,They like manure cow...and lime.This will help them bloom too.Well rotted manure

My leaves aren't curling, but I only had one bloom this year. I had *no* blooms last year. Since they like manure, maybe I'll see if I can get my cat to do his business under the lilac shrub. :-)

Sounds like powdery mildew, even if there is no "powdery" look. They can be prone to powdery mildew, and wet/damp weather is a good environment for it.

For those who have little or no blooms, when are you pruning the plants? Remember that lilacs bloom on old (last year's) wood, so if you pruned them this spring, you lost this year's blooms. Otherwise, maybe some fertilizing is needed.
