ArborVitae, turning brown, dieing ?

One tree seems to be dieing, starting at the top 1/3 .

She is about 8 feet tall, the others are about the same.

Help.

I love my ArborVitae...the emerald green variety...so absolutely easy to care for, never water, never fertilize any of them...Now they are 7 to 9 years old, and all but the one are very healthy.

Info is so hard to find...good info

And BTW, this tree had some baby cones, but the others, I see no cones...

Our Arborvitae is aka Thuja Occidental.
Info seems to be scarce...not a word about "dieing" or browning - and I know this happens.

I would check for bagworms first. If there are no cases , then look for other pests.

Could one tree be planted too deeply or be located in a site that is too wet?

The tree in question is at the rows end next to a Rose of Sharon...and all of their Japanese Beetles..
I'm thinking of pruning off the brown 40% of the tree...I must do something..
