Didn't you have about the same temps for winter and snow/ice as I did last year.
I think i remember you posting during that time and we both had snow etc at the same time last year.
If so that could be a plant I would not mind having in my new beds.

Very nice; I have never seen a white one before. We have the pale lavender ones all over the farm. At least we did. I haven't taken a tour lately.

I have a passiflora incarnata that has purplish flowers. It dies back to the ground every year but grows very fast once it gets going again around late May to early June. The mobot site says the spread is 3 to 6 feet but I've found shoots coming up further away than that. I planted mine where it can grow up a shrub. It would be too aggressive to plant with other perennials.

I agree be careful with the wild passion flower. It came with pine bark mulch that I put over landscape plastic at my friends house. I let it grow on the chain link fence. The vine was pretty and the flowers are very interesting and different. It started sending up shoots over the whole area which is about 4 feet wide and as long as the side of his house on the north side. I have pulled numerous long shoots of this vine out of this area. I am sure this was the wild variety so the cultivated ones may not be a problem. In one of your contained areas that you mow around I am sure it wouldn't get away from you.

We have a "cousin" here that is considered very invasive...very pretty until it starts taking over your backyard.
