If you're in that area you could also take in Trexler Game Preserve/Zoo if that appeals. Or you could follow 100 to 309 N- stopping for ice cream or lunch at Northwestern Grill, at the traffic light just before the high school- and go up over the mountain towards Tamaqua (crossing the Appalachian Trail), and catch a incredibly spectacular view off to the left just as you reach the top. If you continue down the mountain, through the village (just barely) of Snyders (excellent home-made pie at the log restaurant- name escapes me!-at the intersection at Snyders..), there's a nice small garden center, Petrich's. It's very pretty, always set up artistically, with a stream rushing right through the middle; not particuarly a place to go for a lot of bargains (though they have half-price things later in the season), but always a pleasant visit. You could even travel a bit further, and see Stonehedge Gardens! :-)

Regarding this lovely property of daylilies. The homeowner is moving soon. A group of locals went in and purchased the entire lot. It has been divided among 4 families, each family getting a portion of each plant. There are 330 plants in total!

I don't know that any of us (we are all friends) intend to sell, but who knows. 330 plants! Argh! :)
