No glads here, just sticks without buds. Yes, they are definately late and small. But then again with all the heavy rain we've been having and no sun I have few flowers at all. Roses have no blooms but the lillies have some. The only areas by me that are doing fairly well are in true full sun, I have trees but still usually have many flowers even still. It finally hit 80 here up in the mountains yesterday and possibly today. Probably only the 3rd time this summer. I'm not a heat lover so good for me but not the plants. It was in the 40's for a few nights earlier this week. I feel sorry for the hummingbirds so I set up an extra feeder to help.

After I posted that yesterday, I took a close look at the plants. Three of them have buds, out of ten.

My lilies are having mixed reactions. I have a native lily, I don't recall the name, that did great this year. But the Regal Lilies produced only one flower, and that was from four plants. The Stargazers and Ruby lilies are looking more hopeful.

On the plus side, the bee balm is a riot of blooms, and the phlox david is just full and gorgeous.

Also I have an old-fashioned petunia from Select Seeds that is doing very well.

I'm hoping today and tomorrow's warmer temps help everything a bit.
