Very nice. Fall is a great time; I'm not crazy about what follows. I would already have plans for those bales afterward.

helen, they are from my store of old hay that I use for mulch and these will be used too. In fact, they are some that DH threw down from the loft in the barn for me to use a month ago that I hadn't got around to yet. I try to have him toss down several and let them just lay in the calf pen until I need them.

I like it too, let's us know that the spooks are coming out soon. I'm a woodswoman and still have to buy them if I wan't to make a display. I always wish we lived on a busier road when holidays come up so people would actually see the decorations I work so hard on. There are only 3 houses past us but until a few years ago there was only one.

christie, I know. I saw those bundles of hay at W-M last year and told my husband that I should do that. I usually just chop it down and didn't even think about making the shocks. I don't decorate outside much because there are only a few houses on our short farm road and I figure I am the only one to enjoy them. I was a little afraid to place it nearer the road because of someone stealing the pumpkins. A neighbor had a table of tomatoes in his front yard near the garden that he was going to take to his daughter and someone stopped during the night and took them all!
