Helen, me too! But I can't see the darned things....the tops are completely eaten up and I have only seen two so far.
I found one striped worm too and don't know what it is.

I have just been snipping the ones I find with the scissors.

Do you think the BT spray works? It would be for next year right?

Bt works. Dipel dust has it but I don't like the dust. Thuricide is what I had; you mix it with water. You may find some at a feed store. Wal-mart and Lowes don't have it. The name of the bacterium is Bacillus thuringiensis that's where the name Thuricide comes from. Tomatoes have been making me sick so I am not spraying anything although Thuricide is supposed to only hurt caterpillars. It will get your butterfly larva so you only spray vegetables. I don't know how you grow cabbage without it. I don't want to scare you off of it; I think I may be allergic to tomatoes or stinkbugs. I was eating tomatoes breakfast, lunch and dinner earlier in the spring. It really could be the damn stinkbugs. Last year I was also getting sick but not this much.

It is kind of a game for me to find them like an adult easter egg hunt. I step on them and have squirted myself with green stuff. It is only ground up tomato leaves so does not gross me out. I am a little weird you know.

You all have stronger stomachs than me. I'm making weird faces just reading this. eeewwwwww
I've never found more than one or two hornworms every summer. I NEED something to eat some of my cherry tomatoes. I have too many.
