Tell me more about salvia black and blue. I have May Knight and it blooms early then not much the rest of the summer. There are many many kinds of salvia; I would be interested in having some other kinds if they have good qualities. The red annual salvia is one of my dependable annuals. Why don't you put your bugs on the name that insect or name that animal forum. I have used name that plant and they are quick. It is fun to grow a huge tree from a baby. I have a sugar maple that I pulled up near my neighbors pond that is now a big tree. I would be sick if something happened to it though; it is my baby.

Helen, I too have the May Knight salvia and it is now
blooming for the third time, I keep it deadheaded
and it just blooms again. It is about 3years old now.But
I found out it will not rebloom if I dont cut the old
bloom stems off. I have a plant in front and back garden.
I have had others and they died out, I would like to get
some red that would survive. Happy gardening caroline

Why didn't I think of that? This is why I come to this forum instead of cleaning my house on a rainy day when I can't go out in my garden to avoid cleaning my house.

I think they have a swamp oak planted in the Master Gardeners display garden at Nathanael Greene Park. The leaves seem shinier and thicker than most oaks (if it's the one I'm thinking of). They're very pretty.

I don't know what those bugs are but they look like babies. Could they be immature stick bugs. ???
