what zone are you in? I planted 2 plants 5 years ago (here in zone 6) and now they come up where they want and frequently it is everywhere (which means I pull out as many or more than I leave). I just wish they were easier to dig up. Seems the roots are pretty brittle and go down at least a foot before turning

I believe incarnata is self fertile but still takes a pollinator. Mine has had several visitors today. They are very fragrant. I would plant them within 2 feet from support and train them in that direction if need be.
