I can't speak for the number of buds you've had, but a trait of the passiflora genus is one-day flowers. A few hold their flowers for two days, but those are rare.

Only one flower - and it lasts 1 day.........cant see any more buds.

Why the passion for this type of plant I wonder? One of my worst ever plants..... :( :(

My Lavender Lady is absolutely beautiful and virtually carefree. It spreads 20+ feet every summer and is covered in flowers. They might only last a day but they are constantly replaced so there's a ton of color during the growing season. I cut them way back to get them in during the winter but many varieties will continue blooming inside and in the greenhouse.
