Your are right I just looked up ajuga and it is hardy to zone 3. It must have been the drought. I got Black Scallop that might grow better than the variagated one with pink and white that I lost before. I am sure there is plenty of chlorophyll under that black pigment.

Mosswitch does Gayle have anything on sale now like concrete or metal yard ornaments? I haven't planted all my bulbs so I can't buy any plants. I have been getting creek gravel there. It is a little bigger than pea gravel and is great for paths.

I was out there today but I didn't notice if she had any statuary for sale, tho, maybe. Call her and see! I was checking on her plant orders for spring, haha, I am incorrigible!

Yes on north Main behind the bookstore. Last Saturday she was weeding and cleaning up. Wind chimes were 30% off, but I didn't see anything else on sale. She has probably taken inventory and settled in for the winter. Call before you go there because if business is slow she may go on an errand or close a little early. At least she doesn't close for the winter like Joplin Lawn and Garden. Wal-Mart already has their peat pots and seed starting stuff out. I am not starting this early or I would be crazy by spring.
