wilting, loosing leaves, flowers fall before opening?

Usually my thumb is pretty green but my p.pinnatistipula has me completely at a loss. Just a few days ago the leaves all wilted and are starting to fall off. I planted it about 2 years ago and it has always looked healthy- other then that the flowers never seem to open. It has always grown vigorously (about 10 ft this year) I have tried not to overwater it but assumed that they were dried out when it started to wilt so I watered pretty heavily yesterday. oops? I am in LA and it has been pretty dry and warm. Any advice? THANK YOU!

Susanna.
It can be a fussy plant. It is best grown in shade at high altitude and like other Tacsonia type Passiflora does not like it too dry and warm. A little bit too hot and they will suddenly die. Generally wilt in these plants means that the root system is unable to keep up with the amount of water that the plant needs - hopefully your watering will have saved it.
