the situation is: several weeks ago, one of the 3 plants in this container, rotted at the base and fell off. At that point I pulled out the remaining plant material. One person commented that the soil looks way too rich for this type of plant. This was a gift, I did not plant it up. If so, I would have used cactus soil mixture. I plan on repotting with new cactus soil soon, but noticed this leaf and wondered if it was 'burn' of some sort....

you should start your own post.. and include pix of your plant ... just too hard to go your words alone ...

the usual hint... is that if you dont see anything during the day.... go out at night and look... there are a surprising number of problem bugs/thingees who forage at night ....
