Hi Jerri,

I had three pods start late in the season. Two were on the plant pictured (Malias Rainbow) and one on the plant next to it, a Tomlinson Pink. The only one surviving at this point is on the Malias Rainbow. The pod has shown very little growth this winter, and because the plant is less than a year old, I wouldnÂt be surprised if it drops off. However, because these plants seem to be a fertile match and a pink crossed with a rainbow should produce something interesting, I will try again when the plants are larger.

What is the deep red one in your bottom photo? It's gorgeous.

annebert - Hi and thank you :) That is a Hilo Beauty. I find reds really hard to photograph but this pic is true to the color I got last summer. I enjoyed watching the inflo develop as it was a very dark burgundy color.

Bill - I love your Jeannie Moragne, I think that just went straight to the top of my list :)

Musarojo - I hope that pod holds on for you, that sounds like a beautiful cross!!! My pods also slowed their growing this winter but with the help of the GH they seem to be slowly starting up again. It's amazing how fast they grow in the beginning!

Plumeriastix- I agree that Jeannie is one of the best. It is a large flower, at about 4" and smells just like a red rose. I have a seedling that was more orange in the first flowers so I hope it holds so I have the contrast. Bill
