Termite bait treatment around vegetables

We purchased a house that had termites and a bait program to get rid of them. The company is using numa fleuron in their traps. I had them move the traps 5 feet away from my vegetable garden. Is this treatment safe? Its supposed to suppress molting in the termites. Thoughts?
