Lightning Bug eggs

Can someone help me out. I've tried to Google what lightning bug eggs look like and all I can find is "may be luminecent." I have found clusters of small (2 mm diameter), white transluscent eggs in the soil, maybe an inch or two below the surface. I thought they were cucumber beetle eggs, but after doing a search I found out those are reddish orange. I'm afraid I may have been killing eggs of fireflies!
