Whats to maintain???

Wait. They are not my palms.

I thought some people would like to see how a few individuals in Hawaii don't value palms at all and are willing to give them away for free.

I agree, "What's to maintain?". The only problem in Hawaii is that palms grow so fast that they tend to shed their fronds rather quickly. However, in Hawaii no one hauls their palm fronds away. They just put them in a pile and the fronds rot away quite quickly.

I figured you got a nice property in Hawaii and grew some palms on it! haha, the craigslist around here is definitely not nearly as impressive in the plant department. Whoever lives in Hawaii and loves tropical gardening is very lucky.

My wife and I do have a nice 8 acre property just north of Hilo, but so far we haven't planted any palms.

First we put in about 300 fruit trees so we have an income from the property and as soon as the house is built we'll put some palms in.

I remember you mentioning that in a post a while back! Glad to hear about all the fruit trees. Looks like you definitely have a great opportunity for some really nice palms. Hopefully they are still offering them after your house gets built. Hilo looks like a beautiful city and all the rain is perfect for tropicals.
