I have found Brads Buds & Blooms seeds to be very fresh and viable, prices are right. I just cut up thin styrofoam
tray from under some packaged meat into strips about one inch wide and four inches long.Write the name of the seedlings parent on the strip. Very important. I took a paring knife and put a hole in the foam, about 3 to a strip. When you get ready to put your soaked seeds in you probably will have to enlarge the holes accoring to the size of the seeds. Vera Cruz rose is very large. I float them in a dish with a inch or so of water with a drop of Thrive and some hydroge perozide in it. I though they would need heat but after 3-4 days the little root started sticking out. When you have a nice size root sticking out just cut it out of the foam and pot it up. I used the cactus mix, perlite to pot mine up. Darned if every one of them didn't germinate. Oh well, gives me something to do. I love my plumerias. I also make labels and put them on all my pots to I know what I have, didn't do that first year amd really don't know what those seedlings are and they are beginning to bloom. So far one NOID white.

Great info from both elucas101 and plucrazy. I got my seeds from Brad and nearly all of them germinated. Seeds are very easy to get started, keeping them alive is a bit harder. Some apparently healthy seeds will just die off for no reason whatsoever. Compared to growing other plants from seeds plumeria are fairly easy to grow. If you've never done it before then go ahead and give it a try, it's loads of fun.

An important thing to note with seeds is that they are not their parents so you can't call them whaterver variety the parent is. For example you can't say a plumeria grown from a celedine seed is Celedine, it's a seedling of Celedine. With plumeria, seeds aren't true to their parent's and can have very different colors and scents, that's how new vareities are discovered. If you sold a seedling of Celedine as a Celedine, it's new owner may be very upset when it's flower wasn't the same as the Celedine they were expecting.

Stormy, if you're just getting started, you might post to the link below and ask if Kms2 has any seeds left to send out. They're Sariah's Curly Pink seeds from his plant and should be a good beginner's variety. Otherwise, Brad's is excellent for seeds. I recommend Veracruz Rose and Mardi Gras as good growers.
