I just looked at the pic again, and this time it does look like a tick. But a better picture is required to be sure. Next time can you knock it onto a piece of paper before photographing?

Yikes, which tick is it that has a pattern like that? There's only a handful of species in the U.S. and I haven't been able to find an image that's even close. :-( Educate me!

yikes. My daughter had a tick behind her ear. Freakin creepiest thing ever, and hell to get off. Poor baby. Plus I'm an arachnophobe so that didn't help... wonder how I love crab so much really.
