Time to cut & re-root.
Steralize your blade with rubbing alcahol & cut until there's no black or brown spots visible on the bottom, that's rott.

Did you have it in a saucer causing it to retain water or something?

Jason- no saucer - just a 3 inch plastic pot - gritty mix- will cut and let callous too. Darn. Didn't think I would have to do this but I will to save it ;)

didn't know I can do this to so small seedling. I think one of my seedlings has the same issue. Will give it a try :).

Chuy, sorry that happened :( I think I've had some do that too for whatever reason, I'm not sure. Do you have other seedlings in the gritty that are ok? I've had some do it in regular soil, I just thought I'd ask. I honestly don't know that a seedling has enough moisture stored to withstand cutting / callusing it but I'm thinking it doesn't :(

You could try bringing the soil level up if it's still got enough stem to deliver moisture? Good luck and please keep us updated.

elucas- I do have about 4 others in the same mix that I'm afraid are having the same problem... worried I may not save them either :(
I will possibly cut one and see how it goes, and also bring up the soil level on the rest and give them a little more water.. thank you for your suggestions/advice :-)
