its a norfolk island pine... a houseplant.. i am sure you can get lots of info in the houseplant forum ...

and it will probably start with it looking like it is potted in sand ....

if you convert that name to the latin ... and then google its native range.. you will probably find that these dont grow in sand ... see link

b42, just what IS that stuff it's planted in? If it's as bad as it seems to be, that might be a good part of the problem.

Be sure to look up the care of Norfolk Island Pines as houseplants and make sure that you've been providing proper cultural care. And a visit to the Houseplant Forum would be helpful for you.

The droop of the lateral limbs is certainly abnormal.
I have no experience caring for an Araucaria indoors but I would hazard a guess that it is suffering from too little light or too little water.
But I have been wrong before ... and many times so.
