We live in a beautiful neighborhood with 1 to 3 acre lots. The drainage ditches are a problem for everyone! The ditch is very large and steep on our property. It is difficult and time consuming to mow, and a little dangerous. Also, it cannot be mowed in wet weather.

I want to kill all the grass (and weeds) by covering it with a pond liner (piece by piece), then plant something that will attract honey bees and butterflies (and will choke out weeds). It is easement, so I don't want to spend too much money on it. You never know what the county will decide to do.
