help with bricks in potager?

Hi- I am setting down bricks to make an entryway for my potager. Does anyone have any great tips on how to do that and have them come out level? I'm trying to do this as well as possible so it will last.

Right now I'm setting them in sand and using the sprinkle, sweep, water, repeat method. It works great but it's difficult to get the level consistent.

Any advice is very welcome! Thanks!

Doing it right involves a lot of digging and prep work. The thought has always made me tired and I end up putting down mulch or straw instead. But good luck with your project, I'm sure it will be lovely!

Thanks guys! Both your suggestions were helpful.
The website about making a brick path is just what I needed. I had started the area, have the materials, I just needed some better directions. I've added this site to my "favorites" so I can refer to it a lot.

Again, thanks! When it is done I will post a photo (as I have said I would a zillion times) so you can see the garden and walkway.
