It must be done with a good sharp grafting knife.

Hi Laura - I just saw this. Yes, I go by Hollis on FB. I tend to lurk more than post in the different plumeria groups there, although I wanted to say thank you for pointing me towards Mike Atkinson - he was a big help in trying to save my Kapalua cutting.

I've done a few grafts recently - I'm pretty sure my first one has taken! It's a generic red from the ABC store that I couldn't pass up. (You know how some plants just call to you? LOL) I'm glad I chose to graft it because it turned out that the end was starting to rot! I'll post pix as soon as I remove the grafting tape, which will be in about a week. I peeked, though, and the graft (I did a V-cut) looks good. :)
