Hydrangea seedling

We lost a 100 year old hydrangea tree in a storm and I have managed to root a cutting from the tree. It has been on kitchen windowsill but I've noticed that the leaves seem to be curling and turning brown. My question is what do I do with it now? Will it survive indoors all winter or can I plant it outdoors? It's a precious bit of history and I want to make sure it survives!

If your cutting is rooted it should survive indoors until spring. Your window sill may not be your best location. Watch for new growth and don't expect anything from what ever old leaves you may have. Winter window sills are often way to cold. Al
